This Privacy Policy explains how MatchMind ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MatchMind mobile application. By using MatchMind, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

MatchMind is a football score-prediction game for the 2026 World Cup. You can reach us at privacy@getmatchmind.app with any questions about this policy or your data.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the game:

• Account information — your email address, first and last name, and chosen username, provided when you create an account.
• Profile image — an avatar photo, only if you choose to upload one.
• Gameplay data — the score predictions you make, your daily quiz answers, and the points and rankings these generate.
• League data — the private leagues you create or join.
• Push notification token — a device identifier used only to deliver notifications you have allowed (such as new daily quizzes and prediction reminders).

We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing activity, and we do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking tools.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and let you log in.
• To run the core game — recording predictions, scoring them, running the daily quiz, and showing leaderboards.
• To operate private leagues you create or join.
• To send account emails (such as confirmation and password-reset messages).
• To send push notifications you have opted into. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.

How your information is stored and shared

Your data is stored securely using the following service providers, who process data only on our behalf to provide the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Resend — sending account emails.
• Expo — delivering push notifications.
• football-data.org — supplies match fixtures and results (this provider does not receive your personal data).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Other users

Some information is visible to other players by design: your username, avatar, and points appear on global and league leaderboards. Your email address and real name are never shown to other users.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your associated personal data is removed. You can request deletion by contacting us at privacy@getmatchmind.app.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@getmatchmind.app.

Children

MatchMind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes (for example, introducing advertising), we will update this page and the "last updated" date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
